The Vancouver Fringe Festival, produced by the First Vancouver Theatrespace Society, is BC’s largest theatre festival.


Refreshing Visuals

Paired up with the Lead Graphic Designer, we created new visuals for the 2014 Vancouver Fringe Festival. We decided on incorporating playful colouring with ribbon and round elements. We wanted the brand to feel refreshed and to capture how lively the festival can be. One challenge we faced was including all the hand illustrated mascots including Jimmy. Jimmy is a balding man with a mustache who has been apart of the festival since 2008. These illustrations were created in an older style so we colourized Jimmy and made some adjustments to the illustrations.

Additional Work

After the completion of the Vancouver Fringe Festival, I was asked to continue my work on separate projects such as promotional material for upcoming shows and an annual report. Being apart of the Fringe family was amazing and I couldn't have done it without Ming Wong and Debby Reis.
